Water Heater Replacement
A standard tank water heater lasts about 10 to 12 years. If yours is in that range, the smart move is to replace it on your schedule instead of on the tank's. We size it for your household, install it to code with proper venting and a drip pan, and haul the old one away.

Tankless Water Heaters
Endless hot water, a unit the size of a suitcase on the wall, and a 20+ year life. Tankless costs more up front and it isn't right for every house, especially on low gas pressure or hard water without a softener. We'll tell you if it's a good fit for yours.

Water Heater Flush & Maintenance
Sediment builds up in the bottom of every tank, and it's what makes the popping noise, the slow recovery and the early death. A yearly flush plus a check of the anode rod, relief valve and venting adds years to a water heater. It's included in every Comfort Check.

Water Heater FAQ
How do I know how old my water heater is?
The serial number on the label encodes the manufacture date, and every brand does it differently. Text us a photo of the label and we'll tell you the year.
Should I replace it before it fails?
If it's past 10 years, we'd say yes. A planned replacement happens on your schedule, usually done in a morning or an afternoon. A failed one is a wet basement, a ruined carpet and whatever's in stock that day.
Tank or tankless?
Tankless wins on space, lifespan and endless hot water. A tank wins on up-front cost and simplicity. If you have hard water and no softener, tank is usually the safer bet. We'll walk you through it at the estimate.
Do you do plumbing?
Only the water heater and the connections right at it. We don't do drains, fixtures or repiping. If your problem is a plumbing problem, we'll tell you that and point you to somebody good.

10 years of parts
Goodman covers parts for 10 years on everything we install, as long as the equipment is registered within 60 days. We do that registration for you and email you the confirmation, so you have it in writing and never have to wonder.
Unregistered equipment drops to 5 years. That's why we handle it.
Labor covered too
Parts coverage is common. Labor is the one that actually costs people money, because a covered part still means a technician, a diagnosis and a few hours. Every system we install includes a Franklin ASURE labor plan: 5 years on our entry package, 10 years on the two above it.
Ask us what the step to 10 years costs. It's usually less than one out-of-pocket repair.
