Furnace Installation & Replacement
A new furnace is a 15 to 20 year decision, so we don't rush it. Our comfort advisor measures the house, looks at the ductwork, listens to what bugs you about the current setup, and builds three options for your home with the monthly payment next to the cash price.

Furnace Tune-Up
Ours is the real one. Burners come out and get cleaned, the heat exchanger gets inspected, gas pressure and temperature rise get checked against the manufacturer's numbers, and every safety switch gets tested. It takes about an hour. If it took ten minutes, it wasn't a tune-up.

Modern cold-climate heat pumps heat a West Michigan home well below zero and cool it in July, often for less than propane or electric resistance heat. Paired with a gas furnace as a dual-fuel system, you get the cheapest fuel automatically, all year. We'll run the numbers for your house and your utility rates and tell you whether it's worth it.

Heating FAQ
How do I know if I should repair or replace my furnace?
A rough rule: if the furnace is under 12 years old and the repair is a normal part, fix it. If it's 15+ and the repair is a major component like a heat exchanger or a blower motor, it's worth getting a replacement estimate before you decide. We'll tell you which situation you're in. And either way that repair money isn't wasted: any repair bill from the last 12 months, ours or anyone else's, comes off a new system up to $1,000.
Do you charge a diagnostic fee?
Yes. It's $99 during business hours, or $149 outside them, and it covers a technician coming out and finding the actual problem. ComfortCare members pay nothing during business hours and $99 after hours. Whatever the repair turns out to be, we quote it before we touch anything.
My furnace is only a few years old and it's already having problems. Why?
Nine times out of ten it's a clogged filter, a dirty flame sensor or a condensate drain problem. Those are all cheap fixes and all preventable with an annual tune-up.
What's a cracked heat exchanger, and should I be scared of it?
It's a crack in the metal wall between the burning gas and the air blowing through your house, and it can let carbon monoxide into your air. It's also the most over-diagnosed problem in the trade. If we ever find one, we show you photos and CO readings, we check whether it's under manufacturer warranty first, and we invite you to get a second opinion. You decide.
Ten years you don't have to think about
The scary part of a new furnace isn't the price. It's wondering what it costs you after. So here's what comes with every one we put in, at no extra charge.
10 years of parts
Goodman covers parts for 10 years on everything we install, as long as the equipment is registered within 60 days. We do that registration for you and email you the confirmation, so you have it in writing and never have to wonder.
Unregistered equipment drops to 5 years. That's why we handle it.
Labor covered too
Parts coverage is common. Labor is the one that actually costs people money, because a covered part still means a technician, a diagnosis and a few hours. Every system we install includes a Franklin ASURE labor plan: 5 years on our entry package, 10 years on the two above it.
Ask us what the step to 10 years costs. It's usually less than one out-of-pocket repair.
Your first year of ComfortCare
Every install includes a year of our maintenance plan: three visits, priority scheduling and no diagnostic fee during business hours. Every warranty on earth covers equipment under normal use and maintenance, so keeping records matters. Any licensed contractor can do that work. We just make it easy and document it for you.
